Job Description
Some of your duties will include;
- Review and advise upon customer general insurance requirements
- Identify and initiate cross selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General insurance products, as applicable to product licences
- Act as financial services restricted introducer to obtain appointments for NFU Mutual financial consultant and meet agency target
- Plan, implement and monitor sales and marketing initiatives across all business and product areas
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of agency and NFU Mutual staff
- Deal with insurance claims within your authority, for all customers in accordance with the agent’s claims guide on mutualnet
- Process and dispatch renewal documentation
- Implement customer money collection and processing procedures to maintain agency credit control
- Comply with all applicable sections of the NFU mutual insurance compliance manual for the agency network, the agent’s claims guide, the agency guide and local agency procedures
- Produce correspondence to required time frames and quality standards
- Co-ordinate and maintain agency office supplies

- Sales and customer service skills
- Have basic knowledge of insurance
Future Prospects : Providing that you are a passionate member of staff through the apprenticeship there may be a full time position available at the end of the apprenticeship, where you would be able to complete the professional insurance exams.
