Engineering Apprentice (s)

• Day to Day Duties of the Apprentice


• Undertake H&S checks


• Adhere to company regulations


• Undertaking practical training


• Machine parts to set standard and requirements


• Maintain hygiene and remain presentable


• Coolant and hazardous substance management


• Communicating with others throughout the factory effectively


• Maintaining workshop standards


• College Projects and Portfolio


• Behaving responsibly with the work environment

You will be working towards NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (QCF), National Certificate, Functioning Skills and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills all at Level 3 standard. You will need to have GCSE (or equivalent) A-B in Maths, English and Science to apply.



The apprenticeship is built up of in-house training and partnered by Exeter College to deliver the accredited qualification element of your Apprenticeship. For those who have shown commitment and achievement to both their academic work and the work on site there is the opportunity to progress onto an Apprenticeship Degree or gain full sponsorship for your HND.



The first year of their training will be within the Training Centre whereby they will be learning the required hand skills. This year is also complimented by work rotations to allow the Apprentices to experience all areas of the business. All Apprentices are assigned a mentor, who have received full and comprehensive training on working with young people.

The Apprenticeship scheme offers L3 Extended Diploma and the L4 Higher Apprenticeship in engineering.
