Job Description

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will be to:




  • Observe, plan for and assess the development of children within the nursery

  • Liaise with parents/carers and colleagues to ensure that the individual needs of all children are being met

  • Ensure the provision of a safe, secure and stimulating environment for all children attending

  • Promote equal opportunities for all 

  • Provide stimulation via activities and play

  • Assist children at meal and snack times 

  • Promote the positive image of the nursery and maintain its reputation within the sector

  • Implement health and safety, ensuring the implementation of daily risk assessments

  • Ensure the hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times

  • Contribute to the development of the Nursery’s policies and procedures and adhere to these at all times 

  • To complete any other reasonable tasks outlined by senior members of staff 



In order to be successful in this role, the chosen candidate must have a caring nature and be passionate about building a career within the childcare industry.



The chosen candidate must also be well presented, reliable and be able to work well within a team.

working hours

Monday to Friday. opening hours are 0830-1700 Monday – Friday.
