The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Meadowhall Shopping Centre for anyone who is interested in Customer Service. We are looking for a professional individual who can deliver a helpful and high quality service, meeting the needs and expectations of a broad range of visitors.
Duties Will Include
As an Apprentice Shopping Centre Operative, your role will be to assist in the smooth and flexible delivery of front line, operational, shopping centre services from the customer service touch points. Services will be delivered through the shopping centre gift card scheme, the shopmobility scheme, the reception desk, Collect +, the children's soft play area and any other key events.
- Checking and assisting with stock
- Assisting with the processing and storage of customer collect and orders and returns
- Assisting with the delivery of specific reception services
- Assisting in the setting up and active participation in promotions and events
- Monitoring of resources and equipment
- Responding to customer queries
- Booking in customers and moving equipment at the shopmobility desk
- Monitoring the free soft play sessions
- Making sure equipment is used properly at all times
- General housekeeping duties
- Any other ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by management

- Applicants are preferred to be 18 years old or over, due to having to work up to 21:00 or later during the peak season.
The apprentice will study a Customer Service practitioner qualification, aided by a tutor who will carry out all assessments as work based learning, within the workplace.
Hours and Wage
40 Hours Per Week. Shifts vary from 9-5, 10-6, 12-8 and 1-9, although these may also vary to meet business requirements and the amended opening hours over Christmas.
£160.00 Per Week.

This role has many progression paths available for the apprentice, and all paths can be considered when obtainment of the qualification occurs.
