Job Description

ConocoPhillips is the world’s largest independent Exploration and Production (E&P) company based on production and proven reserves, with oil and natural gas operations and activities on almost every continent.



Based at Teesside Operations, as a member of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for administering the site main warehouse and ancillary stores. You will learn how to organise the storage and distribution of industry plant equipment and supplies because businesses prefer to keep just the right amount of stock in their warehouses – not too much and not too little – to meet the demands of their customers. You will use the latest information technology and become familiar with modern warehouse and storage methods.



Work activities will include taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for despatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and housekeeping.



Specifically, the main duties of the role will include:




  • Complying with company, legislative and regulatory health and safety requirements at all times

  • Receive goods into the warehouse and update information in SAP

  • Administration of the site laundry service

  • Maintain general warehouse housekeeping and security

  • Provide a customer focused goods issuing service

  • Encourage people / teamwork and be a role model for company core values and behaviours

  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement department

Future Prospects : Subject to satisfactory completion of the Intermediate Apprenticeship, you will be invited to progress on to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Storage, which will take a further 12 months to complete. On completion of the Apprenticeship, the candidate will have the required skills, knowledge, qualifications and behaviours to apply for a permanent or contract role, subject to availability.
