Job Description

Reports to:- Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Manager.



Please note that you will meet the team, at the base site, Broad Street, Teddington, TW11 8QZ. We have parking or bike secure areas



Job Purpose



Personal Profile: 



In the role, you will be required be to learn a wide verity of skills and have a positive attitude when approaching these skills. Communication between your team is vital. Each day you will be in a team of 2-3 staff members, one being your team leader. It is important you have good team work skills and are keen to take direction from the team leader. Most of all, we would like you to bring a proactive and flexible approach to the role. 



Key Duties: 

• Regular re-planting of window displays. 

• Lawn care 

• Plant feeding and weeding borders. 

• Hedge cutting – by hand and machine. 

• General watering and management of irrigation systems 

• Spraying, i.e. pest control, feeding and stone cleaning. 

• Management of garden water features 

• Helping to improve the gardens under the guidance of your team leader.  



General Information:



Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am – 4pm.



Paid Overtime.



28 days holiday (includes Bank Holidays).



Birthday day – all employees have their Birthday as paid holiday.



Training and career development is encouraged.



Uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied at no cost.



Your Training:



During your time at Landscape Associates you will be collating evidence of learning, be observed and receive training as to how we do things. This is averaged over a 12-18 month period and includes time spent at the beginning of the programme completing ‘sign-up’ & functional skills assessment. An assessor will visit you in the work-place every four to eight weeks. You will attend Berkshire College of Agriculture on a day release programme.
