Job Description


  • Provide a Front of House presence – Meet and Greet visitors

  • Answer incoming call, dealing with enquiries and redirecting call to the appropriate person.

  • Maintain records of training activity against personnel files.

  • Update the Training Plan on a monthly basis to record all data collected and all training income / expenditure. 

  • To provide an administrative and operational support service to the Training Department and the PA to the Chief Executive. This will include preparation of meeting rooms and training facilities

  • To assist in the operation of our Accredited NVQ Centre and to be the first point of contact.  

  • To print, copy and collate as appropriate all handouts for all training courses.

  • Compile and print the registers, name cards, name tags (where appropriate), course evaluation sheets, certificates for all training courses

  • Update the Refresher Training Spreadsheet on a monthly basis with starters, leavers and movers and with dates of courses attended.

  • To help co-ordinate internal and external training activity including liaison with depots and outside organisations. 

  • To maintain confidential records in a comprehensive filing system for all company employees in both manual and computerised form (Opera).

  • Be first point of contact for all training enquiries.

  • To meet and greet all Training visitors.

  • Open and log where appropriate incoming post for the Training Team.

  • To be involved and carry administration of ad-hoc Projects as required

  • To act at all times within the Company’s equal opportunities policy and to promote and support the policy in all aspects of the training role. 

  • To undertake any other reasonable duties which may be considered necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the Company.

Skills Required :

  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is of importance to this role.

  • Excellent administration skills with proven organisational experience and the ability to meet and achieve deadlines.

  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a diplomatic approach to resolving problems and assisting employees and depots.

  • Experience in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications is essential.  Experience of Powerpoint would be desirable.

  • Have a strong sense of teamwork.

  • Have the ability to respond with flexibility to fast-changing situations.

  • Have a positive approach to customer service whether internal or external.
