Job Description


  • Communicate with depots to ensure all relevant HR paperwork is received such as starter and leaver forms, contracts of employment, ID and right to work in the UK documentation

  • Learn how to process and assist with the preparation and payment of statutory returns including court orders, pension auto enrolment, CIS payments, tax and national insurance payments to HM Revenue and Customs

  • Be able to use Excel

  • Manage the group training records, course bookings, online digital apprenticeship service

  • Update and maintain the company HR / Payroll system with employee data

  • Assist the Payroll Supervisor with the monthly running of the payroll department

  • Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time

  • Ensure all timesheets from depots are received, checked and processed in accordance with company policy

  • Ensure that deadlines are adhered to and internal controls enforced


Personal Qualities :

  • Highly organised and self-motivated

  • Able to achieve tight deadlines and manage any stress that comes with this

  • Reactive and adaptive to change such as new systems and changing legislation



Skills Required :

  • Good level of IT literacy: Excel, Outlook, Word and Internet would be advantageous



Future Prospects : Clear career progression to develop to supervisory level through structured internal and external training. Where opportunities arise, further progression to management level is a realistic possibility
