Job Description

Overview

The purpose of your role is to first and foremost sell our beautiful products. When we talk about selling we mean selling the Radley Way, through offering exceptional customer service and ensuring Radley fans have a great experience when they visit one of our stores. Furthermore you are an ambassador for our brand; from the look of the store, to the way you present yourself to the knowledge you have of our brand and our products. Your role is to uphold the Radley image at all times.

Responsibilities

Customer Service & Product Excellence: Providing an exceptional level of customer service ensuring that by the end of their experience in store, customers leave with a beaming smile on their face (preferably with a bag of goodies too!) This can be achieved through;

o Offering customers a positive and enthusiastic service

o Prioritising the customer’s needs at all times

o Offering great brand and product knowledge

o Taking an active interest in learning about our products to enhance customer experience

o Adopting the Radley approach to selling

o Using open questions to ascertain customer needs and adapting style appropriately

o Resolving customer complaints

o Processing transactions efficiently and accurately

o Helping to build a customer base that returns to the store time after time

Strong focus on selling: To strive to meet and exceed personal and team targets. For example, the amount of money that you should aim to be ringing through the tills on Friday is £2000.

Brand image: To uphold the Radley image through playing a part in;

o Personal appearance

o Your attitude to our company (in and out of the workplace)

o Visual merchandising

o Housekeeping

o Stock replenishment

o Maintaining and tweaking window displays

o Ensuring all point of sale articles are being used as per Radley guidelines

Health, Safety & Wellbeing: To ensure that you are aware of and carry through with all relevant Health & Safety regulations that may impact on yourself, another team member or visitor to the store. For example, reporting damage to fixtures and fittings in the store as well as reacting appropriately to accidents by communicating these to store management.

Communication: To communicate regularly with your immediate team to make sure that everyone understands their duties and effectively covers the operational needs of the store. For example, sharing successes and how you achieved them as well as providing a handover before you leave and before others start.

Daily ‘To Dos’: Working as part of a team to complete daily tasks (which may be rotated on a regular basis, just to keep things interesting!) such as;

o Cleaning

o Banking

o Keeping the stockroom in an orderly fashion and adhering to Radley guidelines that apply to all back areas.

o Dealing with deliveries

o Administration duties as required

Team activities: Attending morning team briefs to ensure that all family members are kept up to date with company news and understand that the plan of attack for that day.

Those ad hoc duties: As with all roles, you may at times be required to carry out ad hoc duties; whether that is to support another team member, to take on additional responsibilities (such as being a key holder) or to get involved in project work that may impact on the store as well as the wider business.

Qualifications
  • An excellent grasp of the written & spoken English language with fantastic communication skills
  • Sound Maths skills

  • Flexible and able to multi task
  • Flexibility to work additional hours to cover sickness, holiday or during peak periods.
  • Adaptable with a willingness and drive to learn and develop
