Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Support Assistant (Stores and Archives) to join the Site Services team. This role requires the post holder to focus on the efficient monitoring and control of goods inwards/outwards and customer holding areas (including the Expansion Area). This post holder will also be responsible for the efficient organisation of the consumables and the archive stores.Location: Octagon House, Concorde Way, Segensworth North, PO15 5RLHours: 25-30 hours per week. 5-6 hours a day, Monday to Friday commencing at 8:30am. Responsibilities: Maintain tidy and efficient consumable stores and control optimum stock levels. Negotiate with external suppliers for consumer purchases. Receive and log-in goods, informing recipients as appropriate. Monitor the customer holding area and the expansion area to ensure the Project and Test Engineers are removing and returning test samples according to the Process Flow Chart and procedure. Maintain a tidy and efficient customer holding area including the packing area, maintaining levels of packaging materials, labels and packing notes as required. Re-allocate test sample shelving and bays as appropriate and when required. Perform monthly test sample audits to ensure prompt dispatch of Test Samples on completion of jobs, identifying any issues to the relevant Project Manager. Maintain a KPI for jobs closed, but where equipment has not been returned. Arrange couriers to dispatch the Test Samples back to the customer following the Courier Process Flow chart as required. When test samples are designated for destruction by the customer, ensure the correct procedure has been followed before arranging for destruction of the items. Dispatch or dispose of goods by the most cost efficient manner whilst meeting the customers requirements. Control incoming, retrieval/issue, storage of and destruction of archive records within agreed procedures. Scanning of documentation as required. Any other duties which may reasonably be required in support of the business and which the post holder is competent to perform, for example covering Reception.Essential Criteria: Good English and Maths skills Administrative or Stores experience Competent user of Microsoft Office, specifically including Outlook, Word and Excel A flexible and enthusiastic approach to workDesirable: Counterbalance forklift truck licenceCompany Overview:TV SD Product Service is part of the Certification Division of the TV SD Group and is a world leader in testing and product certification.
