Job Description

Are you an experienced Lead IQA within the Apprenticeship sector? Are you interested in working for one of the UK's leading Engineering Training providers? Do you have experience managing teams of Assessors?Alderwood are currently working with a specialist Engineering Apprenticeship Training Provider. Due to growth, we are recruiting for a Team Leader / Lead IQA who will be responsible for c6 Assessors delivering Engineering & Manufacturing Apprenticeships in the North of the England. Location: Home & Regional based. You will be managing a team from Midlands - North. Purpose of the Role * Responsible for the operational delivery of a team of Assessor /Co-ordinators to achieve business objectives, ensuring that teams activities are carried out in line with Ofsted. * Ensure that people management policies are adhered to and that direct reports are managed within areas of responsibility including management responsibility for staff recruitment, learning and development, performance management and employee relations matters * Manage the internal quality assurance requirements to awarding body compliance and to national standards within SAS. Coach, train and develop a team of Assessors/Co-ordinators in the delivery of qualifications to meet the required awarding body standards and national standards which will include providing guidance to ensure best practices are being maintained * Monitor and support timely achievement targets, producing and agreeing intervention strategies where required * Ensure completion of ongoing and final internal verification. Skills required:* Degree level or equivalent experience* Ability to interpret data and management information.* Time served IQA with experience managing Delivery Staff* Occupationally competent within Engineering and/or Manufacturing. * Assessor and/or Verifier awards* Knowledge of Levy, Trailblazers & new funding landscape Candidates must have experience within the Engineering OR Manufacturing apprenticeship provisions. Engineering occupational competence or candidates with a background in Engineering or Advanced Manufacturing apprenticeship delivery is preferred.
