Job Description
This role would suit an A-level leaver with good English, Maths and Art grades at GCSE level, together with an interest in Design, Website Technology and Social Media.
The Apprentice reports directly to the
Assistant Manager with a dotted line to the Design and Media Manager.
Role for design and media Department
- Selecting images and adding to Social Media Google Photoshare
- Adding content to Social Media marketing calendar and Google drive folder
- Youtube channel assistance
- Create material and design adverts
- General image scanning
- Scanning old magazines including Autosports mags - as and when required
- Prepare material for publication eg scanning and photographs
- Image library development - adding keywords to images
- Support with video editing
- Sourcing content for digital magazines
- Website information update support
- Test login and password for Club sites periodically – as directed by Design and Media Manager
- Once training is underway then responsibility for specific work will ensue, as follows:
- Develop X K Club Forum
- Design of marketing documents and adverts
- Support for mailer designing
- Creation of Club and PPI shop ads – internal and external magazines and for websites
- Creation of event artwork – poster and flier design
- Design Clubs' Christmas cards
- Assist in Social Media for the business as a whole.
Role within publishing:
- Prepare material for publication.
- Download daily book orders for Publishing.
- Administration associated with publishing and direct sales.
Role for magazines and clubes:
- Assist in selling range and managing stock of Merchandise
- Maintain back issues list
- Attend outside events at week-ends as a member of the team Eg Goodwood Revival, Silverstone Classic and Club Weekends. This may be up to three times a year.
Administrative Tasks:
- To be part of the telephone reception team responsible for managing incoming telephone calls and for monitoring and managing answer machine in-coming and out-going messages.
- To 'meet and greet' visitors, invite them to sign in, have some refreshment and then show to destination for meeting. Alert relevant colleague that visitor has arrived.
- Set up the meeting room and prepare required samples and documents for varied meetings.
- Processing mail on-line for Royal Mail and DHL carriers.
- Back-up for packaging of parcels.
