Job Description


  • Creating quotes as per Install Managers specification

  • Updating quotes as projects evolve

  • Ensuring DTools software is kept up to date

  • Ordering goods

  • Maintaining the DTools ‘inventory’ with the correct prices from suppliers

  • Assisting clients over the phone and directing them to the Install Manager or other personnel if needed

  • Maintain Client Drive on the server with all relevant information

  • Record all deliveries against PO’s

  • Arrange site visits for Install manager

  • Create quotes in DTools, in line with internal costing policies

  • Obtain Purchase Orders from clients

  • Source and book freelancers if needed

  • Prepare all site documentation

  • Book parking and hotels if necessary

  • Sending invoice requests to the Commercial Manager with the appropriate estimate attached from DTools to Quickbooks

  • Conclude all paperwork including providing all receipts for the job. 

  • Make a record of each job in photographic form with a few words to pass to commercial manager

  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative



Skills Required :

You must be a lively and results driven individual with a desire to work your way up in a small company. As we are a small company you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Directors and will have the opportunity to meet clients from an early stage, for this reason we are looking for someone who is well presented, with common sense and good personal skills. The role will be largely administrative but we welcome applications from a range of courses and experiences.



As this is an apprenticeship position with a hope that the candidate will grow with the company we do not require a specific qualification.



Future Prospects : From April 2017 the National Minimum Wage(NMW/) for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
