Job Description

They are highly focused on professional standard customer service, and wish to hire an additional Business Skills Advisor with Business Development experience and an understanding of Skills funding, Apprenticeships, Government standards and able to communicate effectively with businesses and employers at all levels.You will be involved in conducting high quality meetings with businesses across multiple sectors, resulting in the completion of workforce development plans, and/or an Apprentice/Traineeship start, and/or the take up of commercial skills services.Working 37.5 hours per week in Manchester with occasional visits to clients premises, MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Face-to-face & telephone meetings with business and employers at all levels Communicating clearly to employers the benefits of Apprenticeships/Advanced & Higher Apprenticeships / Traineeships and workforce development Completing comprehensive workforce development plans to diagnose current and future recruitment, retention, and skills needs of the employer Work with employers to develop and implement a quality measure for Apprentice employment Identify and develop routes to market for skills services.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE: A working knowledge of Traineeships / Apprenticeships / Advanced Apprenticeships / Higher Apprenticeships and the benefit each of these could bring to a business Overall awareness of the Apprenticeship Levy guidelines and potential impact on different businesses types/sectors. Experience of completing workforce development plans with businesses Business-to-business experience in sales or account management Ability to work to targets Account management skills Good presentation skills both written and oral Excellent communication and networking skills A flexible approach to work including willingness to travel & work occasional unsociable hours The ability to establish credibility and respect with others A strong sense of personal responsibilityThis employee-friendly organisation offers training, opportunities for career progression, a professional working environment in beautiful office accommodation in city centre Manchester, a basic salary (depending on experience) of 25,000 pa, with bonus leading to an OTE circa 30,000 pa, plus pension and health care plan.
