Part Time Permanent Speech and Language Therapist Sunfield School, Clent (nr Stourbridge), West Midlands.Working hours: 16 hours per week (flexibility can be provided regarding hours and days worked)Pay scale: Band 5/6 equivalent: Agenda for change scale points: 16-21Sunfield School is a residential special school supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with complex needs, including Autism, to experience life to its full potential. The Psychology and Therapies department are seeking a passionate and confident Speech and Language Therapist to join their multi-disciplinary team (MDT), who work alongside the Educational and care Care staff to provide consistent and highly specialist care.We are looking to expand our Speech and Language Therapy department with a part time Therapist who has You will have experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, including Autism and behavioural needs (this experience doesnt necessarily have to have been as a Speech and Language Therapist). The main responsibilities will be to be able to work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy Team and aid inin planning and delivering efficient speech and language service for residential and day students. The successful candidate will have the following: Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy Member of the Royal Collage of Speech and Language Therapy HCPC registration Experience or/ Knowledge of PECS, other AAC methods, Signalong, TEACCH and Intensive Interaction etcct. A minimum of 6 months Eexperience of working with children/young people with complex learning needs including Autism (in some capacity). Experience in managing challenging behaviours Experience in MDT working
