Job Description
Job summary; To provide a complete range of social, physical and personal care to service user’s. To provide this care to highly dependent people who live in and around Kent, in their own homes.
Care worker Duties.
· Assist service user’s with personal care and any social needs, including washing, dressing / undressing, dental and hair care and toileting.
· Prepare and serve meals and drinks as directed by a care plan, also any tasks which might include shopping, collecting pensions, correspondence and possibly domestic.
· Assisting with treatment /medication as prescribed by the doctor.
· Be aware of any Health and Safety issues and comply with Regulations.
· Ensure that you do not divulge any confidential details.
· Comply with Data Protection Act.
· Assist service users to keep in contact with family, friends etc.
· Monitor the service user’s day to day tasks, helping them to remain independent.
· Recording any changes and concerns and reporting them to the office.
This is a guide only as every service user has different needs and everyone is individual. Our aim is to keep a service user in their own home for as long as they want as long as we can keep them safe from harm.
