Job Description
The Light Vehicle Level Apprenticeship responsibilities will include:
- Servicing vehicles - carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturers’ guidelines
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components
- Advising customers about the repairs that are required
- Producing time estimates
- Maintaining repair and service records
Personal Qualities :
- Good communication skills
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Skills Required :
To become a Light Vehicle Technician, you will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent practical skills
- The ability to work quickly but also pay attention to detail
- The ability to work well in a team and on your own
Future Prospects : On successful completion of your apprenticeship you will receive NVQ Level 2 Certificates along with functional skills in Maths, English and ICT as well as an Employment rights and responsibilities project. You will then have the opportunity to work towards your Level 3 qualification.
