Job Description

Every Opticians practice needs an efficient team of receptionists/optical advisors who can ensure that every patients experience is a positive one. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in the Health/Retail Sector by joining a friendly Practice in Flackwell Heath 

 

 Duties include;



 Managing patient requests in person, on the phone and via written communication  



 Booking, amending, rescheduling and cancelling patient appointments



 Advising patients of NHS and chargeable services and processing payments



 Providing patients with information about the Practice Services



 Assisting customers with spectacle frame selection



 Product ordering and stock control



 General housekeeping



 Managing patient records recording patient contracts, attaching correspondence electronically and hard copy and filing in correct order.



 Maintaining and updating the practice patient database.



 Ensuring confidentiality and data protection is observed at all times. 

 

Training to be provided:  



At level 2/3 City & Guilds Diploma In Business & Administration



Level 1 / 2 Functional Skills in Math,  English & ICT

Further training could lead to the dispensing of tailored eyewear solutions to suit the lifestyle of our discerning customers. Suitably qualified candidates may have the opportunity to progress through formal training to become a registered Dispensing Optician.
