Job Description
Being the customer’s first point of contact in this very busy retail environment you will need to be of a smart appearance and able to communicate and receive instructions clearly and accurately in a polite and friendly manner. You will be an integral part of the team and therefore need to be a good team player.
Duties to include:
• Take in and hand out prescriptions
• Responding to customer queries face to face
• Identifying and resolving problems and improving customer relations
• Promoting products and services to customers
• Delivering an outstanding customer service to all customers
• Receiving, loading and unloading of incoming goods
• Assist with stock control and the maintenance of reasonable stock levels
• Assisting customers/patients with charges/exemptions
• Provide advice to customers on healthy lifestyles
• Understanding the customer service environment

Skills Required :
Enjoy working with people and provide an excellent customer service, through being friendly, sympathetic and patient when dealing with enquiries.
You will need to be well organised, with good communication skills as the role involves maintaining accurate records, and the ability to give clear explanations when conveying instructions passed on by the pharmacist to the customer.
You must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and very attentive in a busy environment.
Future Prospects : On successful completion of the Traineeship, you will have the opportunity to progress onto an Apprenticeship to secure employment in the pharmaceutical sector.
