Job Description

You'll learn to maintain, service and repair cars and commercial vehicles.

Our Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship scheme is a three and a half year training programme, fully funded by BT Fleet and organised in partnership with Warwickshire College. Being part of BT Fleet's apprenticeship scheme enables you to take advantage of continuous learning and development, as we make sure your skills are kept up-to-date with the automotive industry, all the while working towards a BTEC and NVQ level 3 in both Motor Vehicle Service and Repair.

Unlike other motor technician apprenticeships in the UK, our course provides comprehensive training to maintain, service and repair not just cars but also vans, trucks, plant and anything in-between. This training allows you to become multi-skilled in the garage services.

We invest heavily on our person, that's why we've won awards including the regional apprenticeship awards.

Personal Qualities :

We look for ‘sparks’ of great potential that we can develop further with our training programmes and support.  If you’ve got the spark, you can build a great future with BT.

Skills Required :

At BT, we’re creating an inclusive working environment where people from all backgrounds can succeed. Diversity makes sense for us, for our customers and for our future.  We value different perspectives, skills and experiences, and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Whatever your background, there are ten particular qualities that we expect everyone here to demonstrate.  We call them strengths.  Do you share them?

Learner – keen and quick to grow

Drive – ambitious to do brilliantly

Team – supportive of colleagues

Networker – connects with other people

Ownership – takes personal responsibility

Analytical – careful problem solver

Change – open to doing things differently

Customer – Passion for the people we serve

Commercial – fascinated by business

Efficient – plans to achieve success

Future Prospects : If you’ve got the dedication, and you share our passion for changing customers’ lives, you can transform your potential into an exciting career. Your journey with BT doesn’t end once you have finished the apprenticeship programme. You can continue to share great ideas and seize every chance to learn and grow, and you could progress all the way to a senior role, shaping the next big thing.
