Job Description
Who are we?
We’re the RNLI: the charity that saves lives at sea.
Our lifeguards and crews have saved over 141,500 lives since the RNLI was formed in 1824. And we have ambitious future plans. The RNLI aims to halve UK and Ireland coastal drowning by 2024 – and reduce drowning around the world.
Where do you come in?
We’re looking for dynamic, proactive and confident people to join our Face-to-face Fundraising Team this summer.
What would you be doing?
Our fundraisers save lives by inspiring support for our lifesavers, raising vital funds and sharing safety tips with the public.
By talking to people about our lifesaving work, you'll inspire people to become supporters and secure valuable funds to help us save lives at sea. By talking to people about safety messages, you’ll raise awareness and save lives.
Join us and you’ll spend your summer representing the RNLI on the beach, at festivals and at indoor venues. Don’t worry - we’ll make sure you’re given excellent training so that you feel confident talking to the public about what we do.
You'll need to be self-motivated and happy working to targets. And a vibrant, friendly personality is a must.
It’s hard work, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling - and great for enhancing your CV! You’ll gain loads of transferrable skills, such as teamwork, organisation and communication.
But it's not all about the work. There are plenty of out-of-hours activities such as beach barbecues and water sports you can join in too.

Due to safeguarding requirements, all our face-to-face fundraisers need to be 18 or older.

We have nine different regions and a national events team for you to choose from, and accommodation can be provided if you work outside of the local area.
