Job Description

NCS The Challenge are looking for dedicated Youth Programme Leader (Programme Leaders/Assistant Programme Leaders) with an interest in working with young people to strengthen their communities in London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire & Berkshire, West Midlands, Manchester, Lancashire or Yorkshire.

As a Leader you will be working on the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme to oversee the pastoral care and development of up to 84 young people, aged 15-17 years old.

Our Programme Leader and Assistant Programme Leaders are responsible for the smooth running of the NCS programme including ensuring the participants get the most of out their experience and managing and supporting up to 13 seasonal staff. These roles are an excellent opportunity to work with groups of young people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to develop your management experience.

NCS allows young people to take part in outdoor activities, skill development and community volunteering. In summer 2016, over 38,000 young people participated in our intensive three to four week programme. 2017 is our most ambitious programme to date and its lasting impact relies on the 4,500 seasonal staff members who will inspire their journey.
