Job Description

Software Developer / Development Engineer C55 - 60, 000.00 + Holidays + Benefits, Depending On Experience We are recruiting for a Software Developer/ Development Engineer. Ideally you will have a track record of maintaining and developing software packages working as part of a team in an agile environment. Your time will be focused on analyzing, maintaining and developing the systems supported by the client. This is an exciting and varied role within a business that is growing, has a great team, ethos and culture, a strong client base and which is able to offer career growth and progression. Job Purpose: To design and develop new and existing software releases, maintain and enhance the current live platforms, which the company supports. Analyse, develop, improve and update software platforms and releases. Work with colleagues and stakeholders to input to the development of roadmaps, goals and milestones and ensure that project elements you are responsible for are delivered on time. Estimate timings and resources required, suggest solutions for the project elements you own and identify and flag possible risks. Within the team, review and input technical documentation for your technical solutions. Resolve and analyse technical and application problems and create plans to address and fix these.Position Requirements Ideally You Should Have: A solid background in software development, in a technical support software development and support function, ideally with blue-chip finance sector experience. Working knowledge and experience of the development, analysis, design and improvement of software, deploying complex systems and web services in an agile environment. Be a graduate, ideally with a degree in computer science Excellent software programming skills must include knowledge and practical experience of C# (4.0 or above) ASP.Net, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (or above) T-SQL, HTML/CSS/JQuery, Web Services, TFS, OO design patterns In addition, experience of NoSQL databases, MVC, CQRS, CI, BDD and SOLID will also be of benefit Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, with ability and track record of working to agreed deadlines under time pressure.Applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
