Job Description

Responsibilities:




  • To ensure standards of dress, personal cleanliness and appearance are to hotel and to Health and Safety requirements.

  • To be aware of and strictly adhere to hygiene and food safety standards as laid down by company and legal requirements.


  • To adhere to knife drill and equipment procedures.




  • To prepare and serve foods and dishes as required by superiors.




  • To ensure work is carried out at a rate to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department




  • To ensure that all foods are stored correctly and stocks rotated in line with food hygiene regulations




  • To keep wastage to a minimum.




  • To ensure a more senior chef is present whilst using dangerous equipment.




  • To ensure temperature and delivery checks are carried out to required standard.




  • To attend required training, e.g. Basic Food Hygiene, COSHH.




  • To participate in working towards an Apprenticeship (NVQ) where appropriate.




  • To consistently deliver Superior Customer Service through our Customer Service Programme.




  • Attend training when require.




  • To be fully aware of and adhere to security procedures laid down.




  • To be fully aware of and adhere to Health and Safety, fire and bomb threat procedures.




  • To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and company rules and regulations as identified in the team member handbook.
