Job Description

Are you passionate about bringing a positive difference to the world through your enthusiasm and fundraising efforts?

Are you looking to challenge yourself and develop valuable skills in events management and marketing to carry into the future?

Akshaya Patra are looking for volunteers to assist and organise fundraising challenges in the 2016/17 academic year.

Akshaya Patra is the number one children’s charity in the world, feeding over 1.5 million children per year in India. More malnutritioned children live in India than anywhere else in the world, causing children to drop out of school and creating an endless cycle of poverty. Akshaya Patra are dedicated to ending this cycle by providing a nutritious mid-day meal for school children, enabling children to perform at school and increasing their chances in life. For the tiny amount of £10 a child in India can be fed a school meal for a year - just imagine what a difference your fundraising efforts could make?

Join the Akshaya Patra team and help us fulfill our mission to feed free school lunches to 5 million children in India by 2020. You will gain valuable skills in organisation, leadership, community engagement, social media and marketing. Our team at Akshaya Patra will support you with resources, tips, guidance and training. Volunteers will be invited to workshops aimed at advancing personal development, skills growth and networking. You will be part of an exciting network of equally diligent and passionate individuals, who all share the belief that preventing malnutrition is a responsibility of ours. You could be a child’s golden ticket to a better future.
