Job Description

We invite you to come and join the Sunday Times 15th Best Big Company to work for, Savers Home, Health and Beauty. We are the destination shop for buying branded health, home and beauty products at the best value on the High Street.

Savers is part of the AS Watson Group, the largest Health and Beauty Retailer in Europe and Asia. The business is growing, and offers a great opportunity for successful candidates to grow their career to Store Manager level within two years. Beyond this “the world is your oyster”, as we work hard to develop internal talent, and support our Colleagues to fulfill their full potential.

We want smart, friendly and driven people to join us. So, if you are passionate about customers, leading teams and selling fantastic products, why not apply and begin a thrilling and aspiring career journey to become a future retail leader.

Outline of role
Our reason for being at Savers, is to help customers have a truly great experience in stores when buying everyday products. We want them to remember us, and recommend us to their friends and family. You can do this by delivering operational excellence and leading your team to provide fantastic customer service.

You will spend your time -
*Delivering outstanding service and active selling to each customer, both personally and though your leadership of the team,
*Grow our customer base, showcasing our offers through great commercial insight and touching the local community, who are at the heart of our business.
*Helping to run a simple store operation, based on operational excellence.
*Creating an environment where the team are engaged and motivated to deliver a clean crisp store that’s fully stocked and ready to trade so you can exceed your targets
The role is hands on in store, working alongside your team you will need to maintain a strong team spirit.

The Programme is structured over 2 years, and is built on a blended learning approach :
- 70% will be from working alongside the team in store and at an area level
- 20% will be from your Boss/Area Manager and Mentor
- 10% will be through formal courses which you will attend with your cohort, building support network for each other
You will complete a structured Induction at the start of your Programme and will be regularly reviewed throughout to ensure that you are getting the right level of support to succeed.
Year 1 – you will perform the role of Supervisor in one of our Stores
Year 2 – if you achieve the required level in year 1 you will move in to an Assistant Manager role, when your Salary and Terms&Conditions of employment will be amended to reflect the more Senior role

What’s the future like?

If you successfully complete your 2 year Programme you will be appointed to a Store Manager, within your agreed mobility.
Our Trainee Managers don’t necessarily need Retail experience as we can teach you all you need to know, however some experience would be an advantage. We also ask that you are flexible and prepared to be mobile within a geographical area, to assist us in placing you in the right stores at each stage of the Programme.
