Job Description
We are looking for two enthusiastic trainee butchers to join our team. Candidates will be trained in all aspects of meat preparation by our master butchers and should achieve excellent knife skills, attention to detail and vast knowledge through the wealth of experience within our current team. Candidates must have own mode of transport, have excellent time keeping skills and most importantly bring a can do attitude to the team.
- Nose to tail butchery of pedigree cattle,
- rare breed pigs,
- Cotswold lamb,
- free range poultry
- and estate shot wild venison and game birds.
Duties will include:
- Boning of whole carcasses,
- Mincing,
- Sausage making,
- Burger pressing,
- Curing,
- Packing,
- Cleaning
39 hours over 5 days. Currently Monday to Friday but will involve Saturday work in the future along with any events (i.e. shows, festivals, etc.). At busier times flexibility is needed in regard to finishing times.
