Job Description

A typical day would be:

Your role is a vital part of the Inspiring process. It’s challenging and rewarding in equal measures but in order to master every aspect, we’ll split it up into two training phases.

Full training will be provided.

First phase; HR administration - sourcing & screening graduate talent.

  1. Candidate screening: You will help with searching through all the thousands of graduate CVs the team receive every week, identify the ones which most closely match our client’s requirements, contact them with to inviting in the best for registration.

  2. Meet graduates in the office as part of the final screening process, considering what roles they’re most interested in and what requirements they match the most.

  3. Respond to emails and online candidate enquiries.

  4. Data input - collect and record information and update everything on our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

  5. Conduct CV searches on job boards for priority vacancies in order to bring in more relevant candidates.

  6. Attend careers fairs to meet recent graduates and explain how Inspiring Interns can help secure their dream job.

Second phase; Business Development & Account Management.

  1. You will focus your time on identifying ambitious companies who are looking to grow their team by hiring exceptional recent graduates, we call this lead generation.

  2. Create sales collateral to engage with clients, relevant to their hiring needs e.g. sending them video CVs of our best interns.

  3. Once you’ve won a client, you help manage the process through to completion alongside a member of the account management team, this part of the role will involve fee negotiation, advising companies on how best to hire interns and the legal side of the process.

Account management.

  1. Learn how to perform in depth candidate searches through the internal CRM and external resources (e.g. Linked In, job boards such as Reed).

  2. Develop a professional tone of communication when dealing with both companies/hiring managers and candidates, understanding the difference in approach with both over email and phone.

Training

  1. The company provide in-house training in ‘selection & assessment techniques’, which will strengthen your skills in HR and talent-spotting skills.

  2. You’ll get trained to use the CRM system, this will become your best friend and must be used accurately and consistently, forever (or at least whilst you work here).

You’ll learn how to conduct screening and sales calls (candidate side/client side) from an experienced team that will be able to offer one to one assistance for any and all of your day-to-day objectives.

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:

You are on the frontline of contacting, informing and preparing recent graduates in meeting their career aspirations. This is an incredibly rewarding job and will be best suited to someone who has strong empathy and desire to help people. Entwined with your empathetic nature, you will have an interest in learning about the recruitment industry and get excited about how it can be a lucrative career for you once you start gaining an understanding of the recruitment space.

You will be expected to show a thirst for knowledge about the clients we work with but importantly the clients we don’t work with as they’ll be your first port of call during the second phase. Bring your ‘A’ game and an organised, creative, fun and ready-to-learn attitude, and you’ll be on to a winner!

  1. We aren’t expecting a finished product, but someone who has enthusiasm and a knowledge-hungry attitude.

  2. Educated to degree level.

  3. A social butterfly and compulsive communicator.

  4. Highly organised with good attention to detail.

  5. Excellent written and spoken English is essential.

  6. An ideas generator with great research skills.

  7. Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is desirable.

  8. Focusing on solutions, not problems, is how we roll! Actions speak louder than words.

  9. A graduate who takes the initiative.

  10. An awareness of UK higher education and the graduate landscape is desirable.

  11. Driven and motivated above and beyond your peers. You want a Porsche for your 30th birthday or to own your own flat? You can achieve that by taking control of this position.

What are the perks of interning at this company?

A fully-stocked fridge, regular socials, plenty of chat, music and laughs in the office. The working environment is fun, yet professional, with a great mix of people and various office dogs.

This is a chance to be part of a fast-growing company with a start-up mentality but with the security of its history of success. Work socials are the norm; with company nights out, team lunches and epic Christmas parties! You’ll not only be getting a bunch of new colleagues, but great mates too.
