Job Description

Our global client is looking to recruit a confident graduate with excellent academics including a minimum 2 1 degree in any analytical discipline, who has a keen interest in the Insurance industry. There is lots of scope of promotion within the company and further qualifications are sponsored and paid for in addition to the excellent internal training scheme.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on an interesting and varied role in handling a range of residential, commercial and lender Title Insurance claims across the UK and Europe.
You will also have the opportunity to assist with the oversight and control of the Defendant Solicitor Professional Indemnity claims that are received into the business.
You will be the first point of contact for claims arising into the business, responding to and providing advice to the business and providing a consistently high level of service to our clients.
You will be responsible for your own caseload of claims, from start to completion. This involves
opening residential lender claims within 24 hours
researching the claim
corresponding with the insured and other entities
keeping the insured updated throughout the claim
setting reserves
negotiating settlement
arranging payment of claims
updating all spreadsheets reports Outlook taskbars claims system throughout the claim
complying with audit requirements and closing the claim once complete.

You will instruct solicitors on claims, seeking advice and questioning points where necessary and liaise closely with the underwriting team to clarify policy wording.

Using your technical knowledge and understanding, you will identify exception items and escalate to an appropriate member of the team.
