The Stoke Travel Co. are an Australian-run, Barcelona-based travel company that was established in 2006.
Stoke are for the young at heart traveler; Traveling, surfing, backpacking and partying is what we do best.
We organise camping accommodation at many festivals around Europe to bring the Australian laid-back, relaxed style to traveling. We accommodate for festivals such as Running of the Bulls, Oktoberfest, Las Fallas, San Vino and La Tomatina. We have surf camps in a variety of locations too including San Sebastian and Morocco. We aim to create a fun, safe base for travelers to get to know each other while outside of the festivals and the rush of the cities. In total we run 30 products worldwide.
Stoke´s HQ is based in Barcelona were we run most of our festivals and activities from. There is a fulltime team of around 15 people working in the office throughout the summer. Being a travel company staff are always popping in and out of the office to make sure the festival, events or trips are running smoothly.
Interns are ask to come to a Stoke festival while with us to see how things run out of the office and at a real live event. When they are on site with us we cover their food and accommodation.
Being on the road a lot we use the phone, Skype and emails to communicate frequently. Departments that run from our head office and where there are internship opportunities are; Product development and Advertising, Creative Communications, Operations and Procedures, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing and last but not least our head of promotions.
At Stoke we have a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere where everyone is equal. We expect interns to put 100% into the job at hand just like we ask from fulltimers. We always love to hear from the intern whether it is about a new ideas, changes or improvements to a product, errors or if they are just after a friendly chat.
Our office is open from 10am til 5pm, Monday to Friday (without siesta-ing) and our Summer runs from June to October.
