Main Responsibilities
Identify and match the holiday experience required by the customer and to arrange all aspects of the holiday including flights, hotels, packages and ancillaries.
Promote all products and services to maximise sales opportunities, and seek ways to up sell and cross sell where appropriate
Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports
Providing advice on locations, prices, availability etc.
Collecting and processing payments
Making holiday amendments to existing bookings
Dealing with administration requests, complaints and refunds
Providing an exceptional level of customer service at all times
Skills Experience requirements
Essential
Previous experience in a Sales Upselling environment
Previous experience working within a target driven environment
The ability to build rapport through excellent verbal communication skills, using questioning and listening skills to draw out additional information from the customer
Accurate typing skills with the ability to create grammatically correct invoices and documentation without any data errors
Ability to work under pressure in a targeted sales environment with the ability to be quick and resourceful in searching for a range of different options for the customer
Ability to use multi application software and reservations systems with the ability to use internet search tools and browsers. Ability to adapt to using in house systems
Well organised and able to prioritise workload in a busy fast paced working environment
Have a real interest in travel and be able to respond to pressures positively by putting in extra effort
A sound knowledge of telephone etiquette posing a professional Phone Manner
Ability to work well as part of a team to exhibit objectivity and be open minded towards the ideas and views of others, give as well as welcome feedback, contribute to building team spirit, aid others to succeed
Desirable
Exceptional Geographical Knowledge
Knowledge of TravelCat, Travel Connect, Galileo Focal Point
Ability to commit to Shifts
8 00am 8.30pm Monday Friday
8 00 18 00 Weekends Bank Holidays
All Travel Consultants are required to work on a shift rotation during the following contact centre operating hours
Pay and Benefits
Basic Salary 15 16.5K basic depending on experience this is pro rata for part time positions
