Reporting to the Camp Manager, the Specialist Instructor will have specific skills and qualifications as a Lifeguard (NPLQ or NaRS) continually maintaining safety in and around the pool. They will also be expected to act as an Activity Instructor when not involved in specialist instruction and will be required to adapt their skills and experiences to working with children of a variety of ages, backgrounds and abilities whilst catering for their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in your care continually have a fun, stimulating and safe time
- Risk assess and manage poolside safety before, after and during all swim sessions
- Plan and deliver a variety of activities with structure and enthusiasm and encourage maximum participation of the children in the group
- Manage the exchange of all relevant information regarding children in your care to the Camp Manager
- Deliver a structured and enjoyable activity for the children period during drop off and pick up times
- Actively supervise the children during breaks and lunch times
- Additional duties will include registering crews, cleaning and kit maintenance etc
Qualifications

Requirements:
- Relevant Lifeguard qualification (Lifeguard – NPLQ/NaRS) with experience in specialist area
- Must have previous experience working with children
- Ideally qualified or studying towards a sports, coaching, creative, teaching or childcare qualification
- Experience and interest in sports and/or arts
- Enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and good sense of initiative
- Flexible team player willing to take on various tasks as required
- If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
- You must be able to speak English fluently
