Graduate Operational Engineer

Our software development centre is in Surrey, just 27 minutes by train from centre of London.

As a graduate operational engineer, you will join our expanding market data development team. The software managed by this team connects to and distributes data globally from all of the largest equity and derivative exchanges.

You will be expected to provide 3rd line support for our production and test environments and to help build administration tools and reports to aid the smooth running of this fast-paced environment. With the growth of the group the position offers great prospects, with potential for team leading and travel.

Suitable candidates will have a natural desire to learn, have graduated with a technology related degree at 2:1 or above and have gained experience with most of the following:

- A modern UNIX environment, such as Linux or Solaris

- Scripting in TCL, Python or PHP

- Relational databases

- Software development life cycle
