| Distribution Management Graduate Scheme, UK Wide £23K Position: Distribution Management Graduate Scheme x 10 Location: Nationwide Salary: £23K Basic COMPANY: Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing retailers and they employ over 170,000 people across their business throughout the UK, including Northern Ireland. They are now looking for high quality graduates to join their Graduate Training Schemes in a number of areas for the 2009 intake. ROLE: If you're looking for a graduate management career that will really take you places, then Distribution is the place for you! Their distribution business is a 24/7 operation. It's how they are able to provide the right products for their customers at the right time. So, it's your chance to put yourself at the forefront of their business performance. As Wal*Mart is regarded as having written the textbook on commercial logistics, you'll also be at the forefront of your field. Join the three year programme and you'll start at their Distribution Academy. You'll spend time in one of the depot Centres of Excellence to understand how it all works and of course some time in a store! After this intensive period of training and learning the technical aspects of your role, they will work with you to develop your behavioural and leadership skills. You'll then be ready to take on your first role as a Line Manager. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: They are looking for graduates with a 2:2 honours degree in any discipline but a degree in a related discipline would be beneficial They want Graduates who can bring their own ideas to bear in a culture of continuous improvement and be ready to share them and see them turned into reality.
