| ABOUT US We are a friendly UK search engine marketing and new media specialist firm. As a major part of our business, we write articles and website content for clients in a variety of industries. Our client base is growing extremely fast and we need more freelance writers. We have a good reputation, happy clients and we are an ethical firm with whom to do business. We also pay promptly. REQUIREMENT AND DURATION We are looking for a number of versatile writers with absolute fluency in British English and with a good general knowledge of the UK and British lifestyles. This is an ongoing, long-term role. Although we appreciate that many of you will have academic commitments, we are looking for writers with long-term availability: able to produce a minimum of ten 500 word pieces per month. There is no upper limit. We have a number of writers who produce many hundreds of pieces on a monthly basis. SUBJECT AREAS - URGENTLY REQUIRED FOR IMMEDIATE START Your writing skills are more important than knowledge of specific subject areas. That said, we have an urgent need for writers with knowledge of:-
SUBJECT AREAS - ONGOING New engagements come in daily. We produce content in almost all major retail categories and have ongoing and long-term requirements for subjects including:-
RATES PER WORD AND THE NATURE OF THE WORK We operate in a highly competitive market and our rates reflect this. Rates are agreed individually, reflecting your experience and other factors including client engagements and market sectors. If you are expecting premium rates, this is not going to be suitable for you. However, in addition to students, academic staff and established freelance writers, some members of our current team are published authors; others are script writers for television: all of whom regard our ability to provide regular work on a long-term basis as a useful back-fill to their main writing work. Our client engagements are long-term and we work on monthly cycles will all clients. Most deadlines are around 3 weeks for on-page content, with greater immediacy on other forms of content. Work is managed and entered via our own online systems which greatly simplifies things and reduces the administrative burden for you. Most research is online and is at a far more superficial level than that required for NUJ journalistic content or for academic research, primarily using existing online resources.
