Working as a Personal Care Assistant for Origin, the leading specialist provider of live-in care for adults with a spinal cord injury, you will work 2 weeks on 1 week off in someones home assisting them with everyday activities such as dressing,shopping, driving them to work, cooking and keeping their home clean and tidy. Origin's clients are independently minded people who choose to live in their own home, either on their own or with their family. Many of them work full or part time, many are keen sportsmen and women, many have active social lives and are keen travellers both in the UK and overseas...all of them are ordinary people who have had an accident or illness that means they need some assistance to do the everyday things that are so easliy taken for granted. Which is where you can make a real difference. Full spinal injury care training is given before you start work...all you need to apply is a lively personality, a can do attitude and a wish to do something a little bit different. origin have clients throughout the UK and a range of long and short term vacancies available. You must be able to commit to a minimum contract of 4 months but your 4 months work could be at several different locations, giving you the opportunity to travel around the country.
