Ethnic minorities in IT / Technology within Investment Banking Towards the goal of diversifying the finance industry, SEO London offers training, mentoring and 6 or 12 month well paid placements within Technology businesses at the premier investment banks in the City of London for students from ethnic minority groups currently under-represented in the City, specifically from Black or Asian backgrounds. Based on this support, more than 80% of eligible SEO interns have received full time job offers from sponsor banks following their internships. The longer term (six / twelve month) placement programme is open to both students currently studying on a sandwich course which allows for placement in the academic year 2008-09 or final year students that will be carrying on their studies in 2009-10. Qualifications Required
Programme requirements: Strong academic performance, on track for at least a 2:1 or higher at university Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are required All participating sponsor firms have a diverse hiring policy so applicants from all disciplines are welcome - arts, humanities, languages as well as more numerically focused subjects such as Computer Science, Economics, Engineering and Maths Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate drive, initiative and a genuine interest in the financial markets You must be eligible to work in the UK You must be able to speak English fluently
