Job Description

Sacrewell is the top heritage attraction in Peterborough, welcoming more than 90,000 visitors in 2014. Marketing and events is a vital part of our consumer offer and the importance is only going to increase in 2015 with the opening of Sacrewell’s 18th century grade II* watermill.



You will work alongside the marketing, communications and

events executive and learning and interpretation officer to help plan and deliver fun and educational events at Sacrewell. You will also assist in promoting the visitor centre and its associated sub-brands including camping and caravanning, the Playbarn and the watermill. Promotion will take place both on and off site and you will help to represent Sacrewell at events such as the Heritage Festival and Food and Farming Day.



Using all forms of media, you will communicate to all target markets as well as analysing and recording data.



The marketing department is always looking for new and exciting ways to promote Sacrewell, so you must be creative and forward thinking, be able to keep track of market trends and not be afraid to propose ideas to management.



Sacrewell has a set written style and voice that you will be asked to learn and adhere to at all times.

Customer service qualification an advantage


Future Prospects : This role could lead onto work within the marketing and events industry.



It would be ideal for someone who is hoping to work in marketing or PR in the third-sector, or a budding events planner who wants some hands on experience.
