Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for an individual to join a traditional real ale village pub as a Trainee Bar Manager Apprentice. You will be working in their Kimberley premises where you will receive training in all aspects of the pub business. Upon completing your apprenticeship, you will be NVQ Level 2 qualified in Management. There are excellent future prospects within the business on successful completion as they are looking an individual who is prepared to take on the challenge of managing this established business.


They are passionate about the service they provide and are looking for someone who will bring the same amount of enthusiasm to providing service and communicating with their customers both old and new. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to learn and be trained by a highly experienced team. As you will be serving alcoholic beverages and at times working late shifts, you must be at least 18 years old.


The Role


Some of the duties include:



  • Front-of-House service

  • Basic administration

  • Arranging rota for the staff shifts

  • Accounting

  • Serving clients

  • Cleaning rota

  • Ordering / Replenishing stock

  • Manage clients and staff whilst ensuring top quality service is delivered

  • Programming and planning calendar events (beer festivals, quiz nights, promotions)

  • Manage cash floats at the start and end of shifts

  • Marketing and promotion (an excellent opportunity to use social media skills)

  • The position will suit an individual who enjoys working with the general public in a busy atmosphere
