Could you go above and beyond to provide expert customer service and support for our School Leaders?

World Challenge Expeditions are currently recruiting for a confident and resourceful individual to join the School Support Team at their head office in High Wycombe. The School Support Team sits within the company’s Commercial Operations, a dynamic multi-team department covering all areas of post-sale activity at World Challenge, including: Expedition programme delivery, account management, client support teams, events, administrative functions, expedition support and customer liaison.

Established in 1987, World Challenge Expeditions is the original school expeditions company. Working directly with schools World Challenge Expeditions provides bespoke itineraries to an unrivalled range of over 50 destinations from Borneo to the Galapagos. The World Challenge Programme is geared to the education of young people, teaching essential life skills such as leadership, communication, team work, risk management and budgeting.

As part of TUI Travel, World Challenge Expeditions is a global organisation with offices in Melbourne, Dubai, Boston, Hong Kong and a growing presence in New Zealand, South Africa and Europe.

Currently over 8,500 students travel annually with World Challenge Expeditions from schools around the world and this is set to increase over the next 3 years.

Overall Purpose of the Job:

Team orientated with exceptional time management and organisational skills, you’ll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail in a previous administrative role and be comfortable with Microsoft Office. You’ll be experienced in effectively communicating with customers, motivated by solving customer queries, and share our passion to enthuse schools about the amazing benefits of outdoor education for young people.

This varied and fast paced position will involve:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for School Leaders within specific portfolio of schools
  • To provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders throughout the department
  • To provide administrative support to specific portfolio of schools including supporting School Leaders and the regional team throughout the overseas programmes
  • To assist the Regional Manager in securing repeat business and developing business opportunities
  • To assist in the development of long term relationship within specific portfolio of schools

Qualifications

  • What we’re looking for:

    • Customer service experience essential.

    • Minimum of 1 years office experience desirable.

    • Developing world travel experience desirable.

    • As a minimum should be educated to A ‘Level standard (or equivalent) with an excellent grasp of Maths and English (both verbal and written).

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a variety of people including: Teachers, Head Teachers, all levels of World Challenge personnel in a polite manner.

    • Excellent standard of verbal and written communication.

    • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise ensuring that issues are dealt with in a timely fashion.

    • Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail while working under pressure, multi-tasking, hitting targets and meeting deadlines.

    • Able to learn things quickly and use own initiative when problem solving and function within a team as well as independently.

  • If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
  • You must be able to speak English fluently
