Job Description

How would you maximise the potential of our people? Could you meet the growing strategic challenges at Centrica and ensure we continue to be recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’? We’re looking for genuine innovators to meet these challenges – people with the drive to become our HR Directors of the future.

Our exciting 10-week Summer Placement Scheme will give you a real-life look at a graduate career with us, showing how you could help us understand, manage and shape the future of all our people. For example, you will discover how we aim to maximise the potential of everyone at Centrica from senior management to gas safety engineers.

At the end of the scheme, you will have a deep understanding of this fast-paced area of our business and the crucial role it plays in our success. More importantly, you will know if you have what it takes to help everyone at Centrica achieve their goals.

Perform well on the scheme and you could go back to university with an offer to join our graduate programme after you leave. That’s on top of the paid accommodation you get for your placement.

To give you the widest possible experience of life with us, we will encourage you to get involved with our many community and charity activities. In the last three years, students like you have raised over £50K for good causes – learning vital work and life skills in the process. We hope a few friendships have also been made along the way.

Who are we looking for? We’re open to students from financial, accounting, economic and mathematics disciplines with a keen interest in financial issues, including investment in green technology, plus strong leadership skills and a powerful sense of personal and social responsibility.
