Job Description
The role will have 2 parts to it – Shop based & Site Based
1- Shop based involves working in their shop to serve customers on a face to face basis, via phones and via emails who require new keys cutting, locks upgrading or who wish to talk about other security needs. You would be required to deal with the general public, use IT equipment, answer phones and reply to emails.
2- Site Based involves helping to assess clients’ needs for security measures. Dealing with Clients on a face to face basis, by phone and via emails while discussing and Fitting locks, CCTV & Alarm Systems to a variety of premises from Domestic homes to Commercial premises.
Duties for both roles will include:
- Dealing with the public via the Phone, Emails and face to face at all levels from the Public to Owners/Directors of companies.
- General office duties
- Taking queries/orders for business and helping to provide quotes.
- Cutting of Keys/Locks
- Assisting/accompanying the Locksmith for Fitting of Locks of all descriptions from dead locks to digital plus door/window accessories such as new hinges, kick boards, self-closing mechanisms.
- Help producing a scheme of work
- Logging jobs on the computerised system.

- Some previous experience in Joinery would be advantageous
Future Prospects : Progression to Customer Service Level 3 or similar and a full time job and client will pay to have you complete Dip GAI qualifications (Trade qualification)
