We work in all areas of the energy industry including coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear energy, as well as with renewable resources such as water and wind energy ·All candidates must already possess the necessary work/residency permits for working in the European Union (not only UK) Role Summary/Purpose Internships are based in following locations: Bracknell, Berkshire/ Alton, Hampshire/ Basildon, Essex UK Essential Responsibilities Successful candidates (6) will work side-by-side with experts in the business with extensive interaction with both finance, and operations/ sales teams for Energy Services in Europe. You will be given the opportunity to manage forecasting, planning, financial and/or management accounting for an Energy Services’ P&L. Key activities will include: ·Co-Ordinate Weekly Estimate Process for Orders/Sales/Margin ·Conduct Operating And Base Cost Analysis And Provide The Team With Visibility Of Performance Against Targets ·Prepare and update receivable data for currency hedging forecasts ·Supporting Accounting And Performing Selected Account Reconciliations ·Supporting Monthly And Quarterly Closing Activities ·Providing A High Level Of Customer Service To Operations, Other GE Businesses And Other Internal Teams ·General Ad Hoc Queries / Projects To Assist Finance Manager Qualifications/Requirements ·Graduates, MBA’s or candidates who are in the 3rd year of a degree course with finance or business background are preferred·Strong analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills are essential·Candidate should be able to use their own initiative and work as part of a team·Good written and oral presentation skills·Flexibility to prioritise assignments and meet strict deadlines is crucial Additional Eligibility Qualifications Desired Characteristics ·We are looking for energetic, intelligent, driven candidates with a high level of integrity, who enjoy working towards common goals in team environments.
