Job Description


Planning and assisting in the movement heavy machinery.
You will plan and assist in the movement of heavy machinery and plant equipment in a factory environment ensuring a safe and efficient operation is delivered.
You will:
Produce and maintain site layout drawings
Assist in the supervision of contractors, ensuring risk assessments are carried out and safe working practices are complied with at all times.
Plan on site heavy machinery, plant and equipment moves.
Liaise with managers and other stakeholders regarding moves and alterations.
Liaise with local authorities and appropriate bodies ensuring the correct disposal of plant, machinery and equipment.
Ensure local bylaws are complied with and environmental issues are considered at all times.
Maintain a good awareness of site building systems, gas and electrical supplies, waste, water and drainage.
Accurately maintain logs and registers.
Ensure heath and safety regulations are complied with at all times.
About you
You will have experience of planning equipment and machinery moves in an industrial environment, good organisational skills and the desire to provide an excellent service.
You will also need:
Level 2 Health and Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH
Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering
Good understanding of electrical regulations
An ability to supervise contractors.
Good PC skills including knowledge of MS word, Excel and AutoCAD
