Founded in France in 1967 by Paul Dubrule and Gerard Pelisson, Mercure Hotels is a hotel chain that is owned these days by the parent group, Accor. Accor also own other hotel chains such as Ibis and Novotel. With headquarters in France, The first Mercure hotel was opened in 1973 but there are now Mercure hotels all over the world.
