Premier Sport Part-Time Coach Job Specification: York, Harrogate and Selby

Successful candidate(s) will demonstrate:
Excellent knowledge and hold qualifications of sports coaching, which should include:
A recognised NGB Level 2 coaching certificate (Mandatory)First Aid Certificate and child protection(desirable)Enhanced CRB clearance/and or no convictions (Mandatory)Further educational or vocational qualifications in sport or related areasExperience and knowledge of working with children and young peopleCompetent in literacy and numeracy Competency to perform at consistently high standards in a school environment:
Be able to plan a range of innovative coaching sessions and programsSet up & deliver high quality sports coaching sessions to children and young peopleDevelop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles.Be able to produce accurate assessments and reports on children and young people’s progressKnowledge of the school PE National Curriculum Main Duties:
Delivering sport and physical activities to children and young people in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and/or set programs of study and also deliver a range of OSHL (Out Of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods.Deliver sports based birthday parties evenings and weekends.

Salary / Hourly Rate:
£10 per session.Opportunity for increased hours through sell on activities. Sales bonuses for increased numbers of children on clubs.Mileage allowance of 15p a mile

Skills and Experience:
Own transport and basic computer skills are required, reliable with strong time management (mandatory)Applicants must also be self-motivated and have a passion for coaching and inspiring young people through engagement and participation in physical activity and sport. Previous coaching in a school environment would be highly beneficial to the applicant.Successful candidates will undergo constant ‘in-house’ training and personal development and will be expected to attend additional external training for example in order to enhance their skills used within their job.Applicants will be asked to attend a 2 stage formal interview process which will involve delivery of a practical activity/session to a group of children
