Transmission UK is a community interest company which strives to offer free complimentary healthcare to anyone with a life-threatening or life-limiting conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer, leukaemia, behavioural problems and learning difficulties.

At the date of writing, Transmission UK has funded over 1,000 hours of free therapy to people with such life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.

Using therapy techniques such as massage therapy, reflexology, acupressure, Shiatsu, cranio-sacral therapy and psychotherapy Transmission UK aims to help make the lives of sufferers a little bit more comfortable.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has produced statistics which display that 8 out of 10 diseases in the Western world can be attributed to stress. Transmission UK thinks that the power of touch shouldn’t be underestimated as a healing force which can benefit a sufferer’s condition.

Transmission UK works together with organisations like The Mind Body Group and offers beneficiary services in primary schools and drop in centres.

The charity provides grants to groups or individual practitioners who they judge to be using natural medicine to help alleviate the pain of suffers. They also offer free treatments to children and the elderly in the community.
