A career with Explore

About Explore Learning

Explore Learning are a national network of learning centres providing Maths and English tuition to children aged 5-14. Children become members and attend regularly once or twice a week.
Since opening our first centre in 2001 over 150,000 children have joined Explore. We help them make academic progress and the vibrant atmosphere keeps them engaged and focussed, enabling them to have fun while they learn. Our ambition is to be the best possible compliment to a child's education.

Explore Learning - Driven Staff

This is a challenging role requiring gumption, determination and flexibility. Explore staff are passionate and enthusiastic people who know how to get the best out of children.

Excellent Resources

We use the best available teaching methods. We adapt to each child and challenge them at exactly the right level. Our interactive and engaging computer based tools map to the School Curriculum, and we use a variety of resources to cover maths, reading, writing, spelling, as well as offering a variety of additional courses. We provide an inspiring teaching environment. Explore centres are lively, fast paced, energetic and inclusive.

Tutor (Part time) Information

Each centre is run by 3 or 4 full-time managers and a team of dedicated part-time Tutors.

Explore staff are passionate and inspiring people who are great communicators and fantastic role models. They are naturally able to build rapport with children and generate a positive, fun and exciting atmosphere where learning can thrive.

The Tutor role
The Tutor role

As part of our team you will be representing Explore Learning and actively involved in teaching and mentoring the children who attend our centres.

You will help to monitor their academic and social progress as well as help to provide feedback for their parents. Our low ratios mean that you will be working with 6 children at a time, providing them with support and encouragement as well as working closely with the centre managers to ensure that the curriculum is tailored correctly for each child.

You will be a great role model for our children and help to create a vibrant, positive atmosphere that is enjoyable for everyone.
