85 per cent want to return to Uni Some 85 per cent of British workers would head back to university this Autumn if they had the choice, according to new research.

The UK was ahead of the global average in terms of the number of workers wanting to return to full-time education, according to Monster.

People polled by the company said a return to university would ensure they achieved their career goals, something that they could not do in their current job.

Almost half of those surveyed said they felt like they were not learning in their current job and just 15 per cent said they liked their job and would be happy to stay put.

Julian Acquari, managing director of the firm, said: "It is important for employers to challenge their workers to ensure greater job satisfaction."

"In-house and external training schemes can prove a good investment for companies, so that their workers feel up-to-date and in touch with what is going on."

In related news, Richard Lambert, director general of the Confederation of British Industry, claimed a number of companies were supporting workers by paying for training courses, reports the Financial Times.
