Students applying for internships can utilise the internet in order to get a head start in the recruitment process, one expert has said.
Graduate Prospects revealed it has "never been easier" for those researching companies before they apply and the different resources available at the click of a mouse mean they can "perform better" at interviews.
Jayne Rowley, publishing director for the education body, said: "Sophisticated search technology and RSS mean you can tailor your job search requirements and get exactly the information you need to your inbox, to your mobile and even to your Facebook account."
The organisation was established in 1972 and works in partnership with prominent bodies in the field of higher education to unite students, graduates and recruiters.
Adecco revealed last week those looking for a job should make sure they do not follow in the footsteps of the BBC's Apprentice winner, Lee McQueen, and lie on their CV.
Its list of recruitment tips also includes: short succinct CVs that are spellchecked and written by the applicant as well as researching the firm.
